AI Control Tower for a school network

How we gave a multi-campus education network an AI-powered control tower: unified data, early-warning signals and real-time decisions. A real project, presented anonymously under a confidentiality agreement.

The challenge: managing in the dark, reacting too late

The network ran dozens of schools with data scattered across systems that didn't talk to each other - attendance, grades, behaviour and finance lived in silos. Leadership only saw problems once they were already crises: students at risk of dropping out spotted far too late, reports that took days to produce, and no consolidated view across campuses. There was no single place to see, compare and act.

The solution: an AI-powered education control tower

We built a central control tower that brings every critical indicator of the network into one dashboard. AI models combine attendance, performance and context signals to compute a weekly risk score per student and per class - turning historical data into actionable alerts. Each role (leadership, coordination and teachers) sees only what's useful to them, with the right level of detail to decide.

How we did it, phase by phase

We began with a data audit and a decision map: the questions the network needs to answer every day. We integrated the existing sources without replacing the systems in use, ensuring privacy and a reliable history. Then we trained and validated the risk models on the network's real data and designed the control tower for clarity - fewer screens, more answers. A pilot across a set of schools tuned the alerts before rolling out to the whole network, always paired with team training.

Results: from reacting to anticipating

With the control tower in operation, risk signals now surface weeks earlier, giving teams time to intervene rather than firefight. Reports that used to take days of manual work are now available in minutes, up to date and comparable across campuses.
